Week 11- the last week of Term Two

We celebrated Matariki - the Maori New Year. We had a shared feast and walked around the track in the dark with the lanterns we made.

Dancing in our masks

We have been learning a folk dance called "Strip the Willow". We practised the dance, wearing our masks that we made with Clare.

Room One Transition

Five children are moving up to Room Two next term from Room One. We had a lovely time snuggling up on the new sofas in the library.

Week Ten

For our maths this week we have been studying tallies and making graphs. We stood next to the highway and checked what colour cars drove by.

Truck safety

We all had turns sitting in this big truck to see what the driver can see when he is driving. We talked about the "blind spot".

More about electricity

Wren checks out how static electricity makes the balloon stick to the curtain when you rub it on your hair. Look at what it does to your hair too!

Week 9 The Cross country

We did the cross country at the Hunter's Farm.

On your marks, get set, GO!!!!
