Matua Madson has been teaching us Kapa Haka again this term. We are getting ready to perform at the end of term assembly.
First we had to cut the old plastic drink bottles into petal shapes. Lily watches Mia try to cut the plastic bottle, it was quite tricky!
Next we spray painted the flowers with bright colours. Cilla they look so effective!
These are what the finished flowers look like. Aren't they stunning!
In maths we have been learning how to make a tally chart. Cameron, Caden and Tana are collecting tallies of the different coloured cars they see driving past on the highway.
This term we have been doing bat and ball skills with Helen. She taught us a fun game with the noodles and balls. Cilla and Eva are trying to get a goal.
We went to visit Barney's grandma and grandpa. We had lots of fun running around their beautiful garden collecting bark. Then Janma showed us how to make a bouquet with bark and leaves and flowers. It was a lot of fun.
We have been talking about what happens to the scraps from our lunchboxes. We have buried some of the leftovers in the soil to see whether they will rot or not. We will dig them up at the end of next term to see what has happened to them.
