Week 11- the last week of Term Two



We celebrated Matariki - the Maori New Year. We had a shared feast and walked around the track in the dark with the lanterns we made.

Dancing in our masks



We have been learning a folk dance called "Strip the Willow". We practised the dance, wearing our masks that we made with Clare.

Room One Transition



Five children are moving up to Room Two next term from Room One. We had a lovely time snuggling up on the new sofas in the library.

Week Ten




For our maths this week we have been studying tallies and making graphs. We stood next to the highway and checked what colour cars drove by.

Truck safety



We all had turns sitting in this big truck to see what the driver can see when he is driving. We talked about the "blind spot".

More about electricity



Wren checks out how static electricity makes the balloon stick to the curtain when you rub it on your hair. Look at what it does to your hair too!

Week 9 The Cross country



We did the cross country at the Hunter's Farm.

Week 8 a short week!


We have been talking about batteries this week. Shianne and Lucy explore making a circuit using a battery.
